Camera-direct evidence to STRAVIX Cloud
Switch-triggered recording on the Axis camera with automatic upload to STRAVIX Cloud - built for sites that don't have an XProtect deployment to lean on.
STRAVIX Interview Lite is a native Axis ACAP that turns the camera into a self-contained interview / evidence recorder. A switch input (typically a physical room switch wired to the camera's I/O) starts a recording to the device's SD card; on release the clip is queued and uploaded directly to the STRAVIX Cloud API. Configuration - Client ID, recording-owner identity, upload schedule, retention - lives on the device's own web UI. No VMS, no Windows host, no integration server.
The technical surface.
What it does, said plainly.
Trigger from the room
A switch wired to the camera's I/O input starts and stops every recording. Same workflow officers already use, with nothing on a workstation to forget.
Direct-to-STRAVIX Cloud upload
Records are uploaded straight to the STRAVIX Cloud API with case identity, owner email, and operator name embedded. No watch folder, no in-between service.
SD buffer + auto-retry
Clips land on the camera's SD card first. If the network is down the queue holds; when connectivity returns the uploads catch up automatically.
Configured on the device
The full ACAP UI - status, upload queue, recording rules, licensing - is served by the camera. Operators and engineers manage it the same way they manage any Axis camera setting.
How it's wired.
- 01Switch wired to Axis camera input port
- 02ACAP watches the input edge - closed = record, open = stop & queue
- 03Clip held on SD card with case + owner sidecar metadata
- 04Upload worker pushes to STRAVIX Cloud API on a configured schedule
- 05Status, queue, and last-upload time surfaced in the device web UI
